INTRODUCING STOP THE HATE MATE
STOP THE HATE MATE is a brand new initiative of Moving Forward Together (MFT), founded in 2024.
OUR MISSION is to cultivate a society where respect, empathy, and understanding prevail over hate, division, and extremism. We believe it is critical to empower young people to recognise, reject, and actively combat hate speech in all its forms, fostering a more harmonious and inclusive community for all.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE is three groups in the 12-25 years demographic, who are being heavily targeted by the purveyors of hate speech: Older Primary School Students, High School Students and University Students.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Our initial social media campaign encouraged our audience to identify hateful posters or imaging on their streets, and cover them with our impactful STOP THE HATE MATE stickers. In time we will also be developing animated digital stickers, and encourage people to distribute those when they encounter hate speech online
